Construction Engineer
Job Purpose
Perform Construction Engineering activities for EPCOL Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and to provide Functional Safety design support with full integration into existing facilities.
Key Job Accountabilities:
• Construction Engineer is responsible for providing construction engineering support for the site team.
• Act as focal point for planning and tracking construction engineering and issues for fabrication, Mechanical Completion, and load out activities associated with the timely delivery of the Greenfield fabrication scope.
• Supports Construction Division Manager & Delivery Leads with fabrication task monitoring.

• Coordinate reviews with Contractor and Engineering teams, including participation in 3D Model review, to ensure constructability, human factors engineering, operability and maintainability requirements and standards are included and understood.
• Supports site team in confirming preparation of Field Installation Work Packages, material matching and management, dimensional control, raising Site Queries and providing input to responses to Field Design Modifications and Technical Deviations, support punching and close out by Company, ensuring carry-over work is identified and reported.
• Understand the requirements of the contract fabrication Scope of Works inclusive of all aspects including schedule and look ahead plans for all disciplines. Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces with Quality and Engineering Teams to ensure all work scopes are following project requirements and specifications, including any revisions, additions or re-work identified by Quality or Engineering is performed accordingly.
• Assist in maintaining effective schedule reporting control functions of the project and ensures adherence to these practices.

• Establish daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships and assisting Fabrication Contractor execute their scope and objectives to project HSE and quality codes and standards.
• Support monitoring and reporting of work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules. Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets.
• Prepares and issues weekly / monthly status reports as required.
• Follow up and maintain Site Queries, Fabrication Action Register and Decision Logs.
• Supports Construction Division Manager / Topsides Delivery Lead in identifying and resolving any conflicts / errors / omissions identified on daily / routine basis.
• Any other engineering tasks deemed to be within individual’s capabilities and competences at the discretion and direction of the Construction Division Manager.
• Participate in lessons learned reviews and provide input to close-out report sections upon completion of work.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or fabrication and construction or equivalent working experience in a similar roll for a minimum of 10 years in the fabrication yard for the client and major EPC contractors.
• 10 years’ experience working in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of construction execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, quality requirements and operations.
• 5 years’ experience of working on a fabrication or construction site for a client or EPC contractor in a similar role.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience working in Indonesia is preferred, 5 years’ working in Asian countries is required.
