Key Job Accountabilities
• Perform all Piping Engineering activities in accordance with regulatoryrequirements, projectspecifications and approved variations if any, to ensureproject deliverables are met.
• Develop, implement and amend specifications, procedures and controlscovering all areas ofPiping Engineering activities to ensure effective projectdelivery.
• Evaluate complex tasks providing appropriate recommendations andanalysis to managementon piping issues. Provide expertise and support to otherdiscipline engineers and contribute tomulti-disciplinary tasks, as required,ensuring completion of activities within schedule.
• Provide Piping Engineering inputs and technical support throughoutProject Life Cycle ensuringtimely solutions to problems and providing flawlessproject execution. Elevate issues to projectManagementTeam, when necessary.Upholdall project philosophies and procedures ensuring these are applied to thespecification,design and procurement of piping items.

• Monitor the performance of contractors, providing guidance as necessaryto ensure pipingaspects of the scope and optimal costs are achieved whilemeeting project deliverables.
• Review and validate all Piping Engineering documents(drawings/datasheets/philosophies/specifications etc.) produced by vendors,contractors and consultants to ensure alignmentwith project specifications andCompany standards. Support to Fabrication Yard for PipingFabrication issue toresolve.
• Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned andin compliance withproject specification and contract documents, in particularEPC contractors scope of work.
• Ensuring that Qatargas Operations Policies, Standards of BusinessConduct, Qatargas ProjectManagementSystem (QGPMS), are adhered to during detaildesign phase do the project.
• Participate in various project reviews including Safety Workshops, ColdEye Reviews and Value.
• Improvement Workshops, as required.
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• 10-12 years’ experience of Piping Engineering in a major clientproject environment in the oil and gas industry, with a broad knowledge ofengineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safetycriteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling software and processes used duringdetail engineering phase of the project.
• Previous Brownfield and Greenfield engineering and execution knowledgein both Offshore and Onshore areas.
• Proven working experience with relevant international standards, inparticular B31.3, Nace, API etc.
