Senior Design Engineer / Team Leader
PT ShapeShell International is currently recruiting an experienced individual who is looking to take the next step in their career.
The Company is expanding and in order to facilitate this growth, we are looking to increase our Design and Engineering team and that results in a requirement for a Team Leader/Supervisor for the growing team in Batam.
This Team will be an extension of the Australian Team and while the role is based in Batam, some travel between Australia and Batam will be required .
To be a successful Candidate, the below skills would be seen as essential:-
Strong leadership skills, understanding the scope of works required from the team.
12+ year industry experience.
7+ years’ experience in Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD.
Experience with other CAD packages would be an advantage (Tekla, Rhino, SolidWorks).
7+ years’ experience in 2D drafting & documentation.
Proven Management Skills to manage KPI’s within the department.
Fluent in both written and spoken English & Bahasa (very important).
Architecture, Engineering or Design degree qualifications.
The successful Candidate will be expected to take on the under noted responsibilities in addition to the prerequisite technical experience listed above. Communication and presentation skills for the below with excellent written and spoken English is a must due to the daily communications with Batam Management and the Australian-based team.
Plan, organize and manage Batam CAD team to achieve KPI’s on day to day and monthly targets, to achieve program and budgeted hours across multiple projects concurrently.
Support the Sales & Estimating team though review of new project design, geometry and estimated materials usage.
Coordinate with the Australian Design Office and Batam Production Team to deliver relevant information critical to the timely delivery of production schedules.
Manage the project budget, resource identification and schedule for the CAD team in order to maintain or enhance Gross Profit targets.
Interpret 2D drawings, sketches, mark ups etc to create or modify 2D CAD drawings or 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor.
Creating and modifying 2D and 3D CAD Models using Autodesk Inventor.
Preparation and issuing of 2D and 3D drawings and Documentation using Autodesk Inventor & Rhino.
Assisting in preparation of Transmittals, Schedules, Reports and Presentations.
Implementing and/or maintaining ‘international standards’ of CAD design and Drafting.
Implementing and/or maintaining Documents and Revision Control.
Salary will be consistent with experience and capability.
