Technical Instructor
Duties & Responsibilities
● Instructs all aspects of electrical and hydraulic systems associated with Oceaneering remotely operated vehicles, complex subsea tooling, surface and subsea workover systems.
● Mentors and assess students’ ability to troubleshoot ROV control and associated systems.
● Instructs theory of troubleshooting on fiber-optic components and test equipment.
● Instructs theory of troubleshooting on hydraulic systems.
● Instructs proper operation and maintenance of analytical test equipment.
● Instructs basic ROV piloting to include the use of sub-sea navigational equipment.
● Establishes and maintains parts and supplies associated with all classrooms and hands on applications associated with instruction and curriculum development.
● Troubleshoot and repair training aids and equipment.
● Assists in the development and maintains course curriculum.
● Travel to overseas training facilities to provide instruction.

Qualifications:
● 4-year degree preferred or 5 years of electrical and electronics experience; hydraulics and or fluid power system experience.
● Five (5) years industrial related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
● Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving.
● Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
● Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
