Coatings, Insulation and Fireproofing Field Engineer
What you bring:
◆ Establish insulation, paint, and fireproofing application philosophy.
◆ Track and report installed quantities.
◆ Ensure Coatings, Insulation and Fireproofing construction installation program is compliant with project specifications and applicable codes.
◆ Review and approve permanent plant materials bought for painting, fireproofing, and insulation.
◆ Coordinate paint, insulation, and fireproofing releases.
◆ Review and implement Inspection and Test Plans and verify the completeness of quality documentation.
◆ Maintain all the calibration records for the instruments used for painting and coating.
◆ Create and issue work packages.

◆ Provide technical assistance to superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, foremen, and craft workers.
◆ Perform inspections and documentation of all insulation, painting, coating, and fireproofing work in progress on a continuing basis, and ensures documentation is complete prior to turnover.
◆ Assist supervision and project controls in preparation of 3-week lookahead schedules.
◆ Review quantity estimates from design drawings, and provide input to the quantity tracking applications and reports weekly verified installed quantities to Project Controls.
◆ Issue material withdrawal requests for permanent materials.
◆ Assist field procurement in inspection and receipt of received materials.
◆ Resolve design clashes and any other constructability or technical issues.
◆ Verify accuracy of data from subcontractors and suppliers.

About you:
◆ Nace Level II preferred.
◆ University/B.S degree in a relevant engineering discipline is desired but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
◆ Minimum 5 years of related construction site experience is required in coatings, fireproofing, and insulation.
◆ A minimum 5 years of experience in LNG cryogenic insulation is required.
◆ Must demonstrate expert understanding and working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
◆ Direct Hire Experience, preferably in a lump-sum environment.
◆ Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes, including Standard Work Process Procedures.
◆ Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including TEAMWorks, Infoworks or Aconex, BPS or DSCS, PTR or Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools used on Bechtel projects, is an asset.
◆ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
◆ Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
