When you Join Team Caterpillar as a Product Design Engineer, you will start with technical contribution to Caterpillar Indonesia Batam factory followed by working with Global Teams, suppliers and other functional groups in the value chain to ensure goals are achieved. You will create and maintain an organizational climate / culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement / commitment and a sense of urgency towards business success. You will continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology.

As the Product Design Engineer, you will be:
- Responsible to engage on factory quality issues/deviations, gather technical information to provide Interim Corrective Action/Permanent Corrective Action in a timely manner. Also responsible to maintain and track engineering issues closure.
- Involve in NPI (New Product Introduction) or NSI (New Source Introduction) build providing technical support to set up the process until all the build issues are addressed. Also accountable to manage the execution of necessary reworks driven from design issues.
- Continuous & Effective collaboration with Global design teams, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
- Initiate design ideas to improve product performance, reduce cost or improve Manufacturability.
- Provide on-site support for CPDD (Concurrent Product and Process Development) at Batam facility to ensuring Engineering changes implemented into factory/planning effectivity.
- Provide technical support to Batam factory teams.
- Support in development of regional suppliers.
