Senior Molding Engineer II
Summary of Position:
Alcon is looking to hire a Senior Molding Engineer II to join our team at Batam in Indonesia, who will support for IOL molding, Trouble shooting, Improving IOL Yield and etc to support for IOL molding, Trouble shooting, Improving IOL Yield and etc.
Key Responsibilities:
◆ Provide technical guidance, oversight Molding Process, troubleshoot tooling and process related issues, manage optic pins and execute Pin Proofing activities.
◆ Setup systems to manage the tooling, optic pins, associated molding equipment performance, and replacement frequency.
◆ Perform investigations related to Tooling, Optic Pins and/or Molding process and implement various CAPAs related to molding area.
◆ Manage and Support engineering projects (transfer/equipment/improvement) and validation of molding area to ensure timely completion within schedule, cost and in compliance of all standards.

◆ Owning/create/update procedure, Engineering studies, molding process validation protocols, review technical specifications and SOPs necessary for production processes.
◆ Carry out engineering studies, perform statistical analysis as needed, to maintain an efficient production process and system, to support product yield improvement and product quality improvement.
◆ Provide process improvement & re-engineering for product yield & quality improvement.
◆ Carry out change request and evaluate effects of changes to validated processes.
◆ Lead/support process characterization studies, process/equipment qualification and IOQs, PQs/Stability.
◆ Support/work very closely with material science, packaging engineering, automation & controls engineering, metrology/calibration and validation engineering.
◆ Provide Guidance to other team members to maintain molding area in clean & orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
◆ Observe & Ensure full compliance with Alcon Information Security Policy, Cooperate citizenship policy & code of conduct.
◆ Adhere to Alcon Safety & Environment Standards, Report to superior immediately if observe any near miss or any injury/ incident occurred at workplace.
◆ Prepare overview of site Optic Pin availability, Pin proofing activities and other molding related issues and discuss with transferring site.
◆ Provide training and guidance to other Engineers/Engineering Team and other team members.
◆ Lead in exploring and initiating alternative source for indirect and/or direct materials and support to review the parts and closely working with supplier to resolve any technical issues.
◆ To perform any other duty that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
